Happy New Yearrrrrrrr
Been a while since I b-logged but the year is off to a good start and I have my first real photography gig! I'm shooting a series of portraits of notable Austin personalities with their pets for the next Lofty Dog ad campaign.
Here are some of my favorite shots from the first shoot. This is Westen and his dog Blue. Wes is in a band called WHITE GHOST SHIVERS.

Austin Dog Rescue
Shot some photos for Austin Dog Rescue at The Lofty Dog pet store. Really cool place!
I wish I had two lights and a flash meter but I think the majority of photos turned out nice and they were able to raise a good chunk of money for the cause! And now for some shots!
Later that night I had a housewarming party and set up a couple of lights around the keg and took a few shots before I decided I was too intoxicated to be running around with my camera!

Moving....
Moving into a new house today with a nice huge garage and tons of other space! No internets till Tuesday so I guess I'll have to do what I do when the internet wasn't around.

And a day after my first post. I am keeping my promise so far. The new monolights arrive today and I can't wait to start shooting with them!

Welcome!
To my first blog post!
I will make an attempt to update this blog on a very regular basis. Photography has always been something I loved doing. In High School I would skip my other classes and go to the darkroom to make prints and develop film. It has always been a "hobby" and now I am going to try my hand at making a living from it. Somewhere along the line I got into Filmmaking. I've even Directed a few short films.
And thats all you get for now.
I have a new Alien Bees monolight arriving tomorrow along with some various accessories. I look forward to shooting with it!
Whats coming up?

Shooting an album cover for Nick Kraus and his Austin Torpedoes
